VINCENT DEMONTE
Maria's older brother also came to this country in 1962
at the age of 13 and with the support of his family and his
unfailing desire to become an integral part of America,
Vincent worked hard to overcome the language barrier and
graduated from John Jay High School in 1967.
Starting out as a page and runner on Wall Street, Vinny
worked his way up to the position of bond trading
specialist while serving in the National Guard for five years.
Vincent, along with his sister and brother-in-law, opened a
delicatessen and beverage distributorship in the Sunset
Park section of Brooklyn.
Forever dreaming of owning a restaurant, after moving to
Staten Island in 1988, they sold both businesses and
became co-owners of Cafe Del Mondo in Willowbrook in
1992 and also opened a convenience store.
Always the entrepreneur, Vinny jumped at the chance to
purchase Sammy's Steak House and quickly transformed it
into Bocelli Restaurant and watched his dream blossom
into  reality receiving the coveted four-star rating from the
SI Advance in February 2006.
